A Vibe and a Beginning… Again
I’ve dreamed of returning to the blogging sphere for about a year. And in typical Mojade fashion, I was waiting for an ✨auspicious moment✨—the perfect vibe per se. When the stars seemed to align, the space had suitable vibes, and the feeling of divine inspiration hit. Followed by this sense that success will follow once I hit “post.” I had moments when I was in a suitable space, but the inspiration wasn’t there. Or I had the inspiration, and I was very much at church or another moment where whipping out my laptop to write a blog wasn’t a great idea.
I found excuses so I could avoid starting again. And I unfortunately “don’t have a niche” other than a need to overshare my internal dialogue. The need to blog would resurface anytime I dealt with any minor inconvenience, and I wanted to overshare with my unknown internet friends.
Well, life really “lifed,” and here we are. I am sitting at an airport coffee shop, sipping my third cup of coffee, a nitro cold brew, with an intense need to pee. The 2000 bops encouraged me to take out my headphones, listen to the chatter around me, and witness the beauty of an entire Black barista crew. The auspicious moment I envisioned was not a sunny, airy spot where creativity flowed, leading to the beginning of a blogging empire. Instead, it is a full bladder in Charlotte listening to a Black barista sing “Pocketful of Sunshine,” hoping I don’t miss my flight because I am lost in thought.
I guess this is a welcome back to blogging and hello to “Life as We” with a genuine logo made by a graphic designer and a fancy page. The goal is to create the vibe and utilize those creative urges consistently. And hope to God you’re feeling the rambles and thoughts of a girl that talks too much.
Now go dig up that old middle-school playlist. It’ll bless you mentally like it is for me and the people at this coffee shop.
